LNG 2 Power
In cooperation with a renowned ship design company, C-LNG delivers cost-effective LNG-to-Power solutions tailored for both onshore and offshore applications. This solution harnesses LNG as a clean, reliable fuel source to generate power through purpose-built marine and offshore platforms, offering a flexible alternative to conventional power generation infrastructure.
The LNG power ship/barge concept integrates an LNG tank, LNG re-gas system, and offshore gas genset into a single, self-contained floating power solution — enabling rapid deployment of power generation capacity without the need for extensive onshore infrastructure. Two design pathways are available to meet varying project requirements:
- Converted LNG Power Ship — an existing bulk carrier is repurposed and converted into an LNG power ship, offering a cost- and time-efficient route to deployment by leveraging existing vessel hulls.
- New Build Power Barge — a purpose-built power barge design incorporating an integrated LNG regasification module, optimized from the keel up for power generation efficiency and operational reliability.
Both concepts are engineered to provide a scalable, low-emission power generation option, supporting customers seeking flexible energy solutions for grid support, remote power supply, or offshore energy demands — all while capitalizing on LNG’s cleaner-burning characteristics compared to traditional liquid fuels.
